The Cheongju Plant is a plant producing various electric and electronic products. It specializes in the production of electric goods which, through the stable supply of power from a power plant, protect customers' industrial, commercial and residential facilities. Founded in 1974, LS Industrial System's Cheongju Plant started as the Osan Plant of Geumsung Power Meter Devices, producing electric power meters. In March 1980 and February 1992, respectively, Cheongju No.1 Plant and Cheongju No. 2 Plant were built. In 1995 three companies, Geumsung Industrial Systems, Geumsung Electric Devices and Geumsung Power Meter Devices were consolidated into LS Industrial Systems. In 1999, the distribution board and ultra-high voltage device production lines of the Osan Plant moved to Cheongju. With completion of Power Technology Testing Center in 2000, the Cheongju Plant has grown to be one of the world's top-level factories.

The Cheongju Plant has recorded remarkable growth each year, through continuous product development and management innovation. The ability of staff at the plant to work in harmony has also contributed greatly to the development of both the company and our country.
